  When I first opened Manticore’s Den years back, I had a small Etsy shop where I worked alongside my mother to offer custom dresses for Santísima Muerte. Every statue is different, every figure carved in its own way, so each client would send measurements and my mother would bring the dress to life by hand. That service wasn’t just sewing — it was spirit-led. My practices were deepening, and I was forming alliances with spirits along the way. Hello there! It’s been a while since my last post. Life’s been busy, but the fire hasn’t gone out, so I figured it was time to share what’s been moving and shaking in the Den. Blending Sorcery, Building Bonds As most of you know, my work lives in that crossroads where amulets, powders, oils, and bones carry more than just weight—they carry sorcery. A lot of this is born from my own roots in magical practices, my conjure practice, and the lessons of my teacher and dear friend Ajarn Apichai in Thailand . Along the way, I’ve built real bonds with other sorcerers—people I deeply respect, who I get to work alongside not just from afar, but often right here within driving distance.   After taking some time away to focus on events, rituals, and the art of tattooing, I’m excited to share the culmination of my recent work. Over the past few months, I’ve been collaborating closely with Ajarn Apichai to bring forth a project that combines two powerful spiritual traditions. This endeavor, a limited-edition fusion of Quimbanda and Thai necromancy, has resulted in a truly remarkable creation: The  Pomba Gira’s Takrut of Empowerment. This takrut serves as the perfect complement to Exú’s Fusion Patúa, uniting energies from two potent paths to craft an amulet unlike any other. For those unfamiliar, a takrut is a form of spellwork inscribed onto a metal sheet (or other natural materials), imbued with power and purpose.
