The Barrel Treasurer

Image
A Spirit-Bank of Fortune and Growth There are banks of brick and steel, and then there are banks of spirit. In the worlds of conjure, Quimbanda, and Thai sorcery, containers have always been more than storage — they are vessels, bodies for spirits, homes for medicines, and treasuries of power. The Barrel Treasurer is born in that same current: not a piggy bank, not a curiosity, but a living treasurer who eats what you feed and multiplies what you keep. The Root of the Work Years ago, I asked my teacher, Ajarn Apichai, about methods of magic that could not only store money but also energize it — pushing fortune in games of chance, strengthening investments, and keeping wealth from slipping away. His answer was simple: a bank. Another teacher of mine had taught me the use of saving boxes as a way of building a relationship with money. That echo of familiarity struck deep. Ajarn encouraged me to build my own vessel, to craft a body for wealth using the knowledge I had learned und...

What’s Been Stirring in the Den?

Image
Hello there! It’s been a while since my last post. Life’s been busy, but the fire hasn’t gone out, so I figured it was time to share what’s been moving and shaking in the Den. Blending Sorcery, Building Bonds As most of you know, my work lives in that crossroads where amulets, powders, oils, and bones carry more than just weight—they carry sorcery. A lot of this is born from my own roots in magical practices, my conjure practice, and the lessons of my teacher and dear friend Ajarn Apichai in Thailand . Along the way, I’ve built real bonds with other sorcerers—people I deeply respect, who I get to work alongside not just from afar, but often right here within driving distance. This year, much of my work has been alongside Jackson from House of Ophidious. Our projects are a true fusion: his knowledge of star sorcery, precious stones, and the radiance of celestial currents meeting my powders, oils, and spirit-led techniques. Together, we bring our alliances of spirits to the table and s...

Understanding Nam Man Prai and Its Mystical Practices

Image
Nam Man Prai (NMP) has gained notable attention in recent years within spiritual and mystical communities. Its allure lies in its profound connection to spirits and the supernatural, but it remains shrouded in mystery and often misunderstood. As someone who has studied under Ajarn Apichai, a trusted mentor in the art, I approach this topic with a level of caution and reverence . In this post, I aim to provide an informative exploration of Nam Man Prai, its origins, uses, and responsibilities. For those considering working with such a potent mystical object, this knowledge is crucial. What is Nam Man Prai? At its core, Nam Man Prai is a type of oil extracted from a corpse through specific rituals. Its creation is steeped in deep spiritual practices, where lineage and the teachings of an ajarn (teacher) play a significant role. The process involves selecting a particular type of corpse based on the desired qualities of the oil. Once extracted, the oil undergoes a series of rituals...
